The Meeting No. 34/AM-09 for the licensing year 2008-09 to consider the cases under Duty Exemption Schemes (Chapter-4) of 20.11.2008 in Room No.4 of DGFT under the Chairmanship of Shri A.K.Singh, Jt. 06.11.2008 were ratified. However, the following amendment was made in the Minutes of NC meeting No. 28/09 dated 09.10.2008 Manual agenda case No.375, 377 and NC meeting No. 31/09 dated 30.10.2008 Online agenda

The GSM of the fabric of import and export should be within the range allowed. The Regional Authority shall be advised to take necessary action subject to compliance of other usual conditions.

Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda and decided to grant another Personal Hearing on 01.01.2009 in view of firm’s request made vide their letter dated 14.11.2008.

                            The case stands deferred for re-listing on 01.01.2009.

Case No. 462

M/s Loyal Textiles Mills Ltd. F.NO.1/84/50/594/AM05-DES-V 03510011279 dt. 30.12.2003 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol1) 2004-2009. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda and observed that firm have requested to allow

In view of this Committee decided to link the recent Public Notice issued by Policy Division pertaining to admissibility of import of fuel under Para 4.7 of Handbook of Procedure Vol.1 and defer the case for re-listing on 18.12.2008.

Case No. 463

M/s Ponn sanger Exports, Coimbatore F.NO.1/84/50/238/AM08-DES-V 3210037105 dt. 25.01.2008 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol1) 2004-2009. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda and decided to send sample alongwith details submitted by the firm to DC (MSME) for their examination and comments. It was therefore decided to defer the case for re-listing on 18.12.2008.

Case No. 464

M/s East and Silk (P) Ltd,. Kolkata F.NO.1/84/50/459/AM06-DES-V 0210082301 dt. 23.09.2005 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol1) 2004-2009. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda and observed that now previous IEC No. 4001000083 of the firm has cancelled and a fresh IEC has been issued to the firm as a DTA unit under IEC No.0208008764 dated 11.07.2008. In view of this, Committee after deliberations in consultation with representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting decided to ratify the advance authorization issued in this case as per written comments of by TC, Mumbai conveyed vide their letter No.38 (30)/2005/Wvg/Vol.VI dated 23.12.2005 as detailed below: -

M/s Chelsea Mills, Gurgaon F.NO.1/84/50/233/AM07-DES-V 0510188726 dt. 17.08.2006 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol1) 2004-2009. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and heard Sh. M.K.Jain, Proprietor, who appeared for personal hearing in this case. He explained the case alongwith sample, measurement, calculation sheets and laymarker pertaining to this case.
