The Meeting No. 40/AM-09 for the licensing year 2008-09 to consider the cases under Duty Exemption Schemes (Chapter-4) of 01.01.2009 in Room No.4 of DGFT under the Chairmanship of Shri A.K.Singh, Jt. NC 40/09 dt.01.01.2009 F.No.1/84/50/381/AM07/DES-V Ratification of input output norms in respect of Advance Authorization No. 0210095357 dt. 1.11.2006 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol1) 2004-2009. technical authorities present in the meeting decided to ratify the Advance Authorization issued in this case as per comments of DIPP by allowing the item of import as applied by the firm i.e in partial modification of its earlier decision. On the export side overall length of the item shall not less than 455 MM and similarly overall width of the item shall not less than 215 MM.

The R.A. shall be advised to take necessary action subject to compliance of other usual conditions.

NC 40/09 dt.01.01.2009 F.No.1/84/50/011/AM07/DES-V Ratification of input output norms in respect of Advance Authorization No. 0210088389 dt. 18.4.2006 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol1) 2004-2009. Decision :The Committee considered the case as per agenda decided to call the applicant firm for personal hearing before Norms Committee meeting alongwith relevant details, sample and technical person in justification of their request in its meeting to be held on 05.02.2009. The case stands deferred for re-listing on 05.02.2009.

M/s. Shiny Knitwear, Tirupur. NC 40/09 dt. 01.01.2009 F.No. 01/84/50/055/AM-09/DES-V Ratification of input output norms against Advance Authorisation No. 3210037641 dt. 10.4.2008 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol.I) 2004-2009. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and heard Sh. S.Senthil, Processing Managing in the firm, who appeared for personal hearing in this case. It was observed that as per the drawing/sketch submitted, the export product seems to be half sleeve shirt whereas in the application the same is T-Shirt. Besides, firm have also not given the printing area & design for printing of export product (size- wise). Representative of the firm explained that they use the highly modernized machines namely JV5, TX2 1600 for digital printing work. During discussion, representative was advised to submit the above details urgently. Further, the technical members of the Norms Committee felt that a team of NC should visit the unit of the applicant firm to study the manufacturing process to keep abreast of the technological upgradations. In view of this it was decided to re- open the case on receipt of the report of team after visit of the unit.

NC 40/09 dt. 01.01.2009 F.No. 01/84/50/275/AM-09/DES-V Re-fixation of input output norms against Advance Authorisation No. 0510221058 dt. 27.5.2008 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol.I) 2004-2009 Decision : The Committee considered the case as per agenda and in consultation with the representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting decided to ratify the Advance Authorisation issued in this case by allowing the item of import @ 3.40 Sq mtrs/Pc instead of earlier Qty. @ 2.20 Sq mtrs./Pc. The R.A. shall be advised to take necessary action subject to compliance of other usual conditions.

M/s. Raghu Exports (India) Pvt. Ltd., Jalandhar. NC 40/09 dt. 01.01.2009 F.No. 01/84/162/446/AM-09/DES-V Fixation of DEPB rates for the export of Leather Sofa Cover. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda and observed that proposal should contain the Industry data to be issued by the Council of Leather Export, which is an essential input to consider this case. In view of this Committee decided to reject the case. The case may be re-opened only on receipt of the Industry data issued by the Council of Leather Export. Firm may be informed accordingly.
