The Meeting No. 33/AM-09 for the licensing year 2008-09 to consider the cases under Duty Exemption Schemes (Chapter-4) due for 13.11.2008 but held on 20.11.2008 in Room No.4 of DGFT under the Chairmanship of Shri A.K.Singh, Jt. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda and in consultation with the representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting decided to ratify the Advance authorization issued in this case on repeat basis by allowing 1% wastage on item of import. It was also decided to add following words in the description of export item: - “ Containing Paulownia wood Bars of various size – Minimum 208.435 cubic meter”. Further, in the description of import item following words may be added:-“Paulownia wood Bars of various sizes 210.45 cubic meter”. The R.A shall be advised to take necessary action subject to compliance of other usual conditions.

M/s Rashim Enterprises, Amritsar F.NO.1/84/50/257/AM09-DES-V 1210005881 dt. 18.08.2008 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol1) 2004-2009. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda and in consultation with the representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting decided to ratify the Advance authorization issued in this case by allowing the item of import on 0.5% wastage by weight of Embroidery yarn. The R.A shall be advised to take necessary action subject to compliance of other usual conditions.

M/s Bhilad Textile Industries Pvt. Ltd. F.NO.1/84/162/1149/AM08-DES-V 0310454980 dt. 20.12.2007 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol1) 2004-2009. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda and in consultation with the representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting decided to link the report of team of Norms Committee, who visited the

Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda and in consultation with the representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting decided to link the relevant Public Notice/Policy Circular whereby Furnace Oil has been allowed under Para 4.4 of Hand Book of Procedure and defer the case for re-listing on 18.12.2008.

M/s Microyarns flocks (P) Ltd, New Delhi F.NO.1/84/50/45/AM09-DES-V 0510216480 dt. 15.02.2008 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol1) 2004-2009. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda and in consultation with the representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting decided to permit only the item of import at S.No.1 by allowing 5% wastage. The remaining item of import No. 2 and 3 may be deleted from the list of item of import as per request of the firm against the A/A in question. The description of export item may be amended to read as “ Nylon flocks”. The R.A shall be advised to take necessary action subject to compliance of other usual conditions.

Hence, it was decided to defer the case for re-listing on 18.12.2008.

Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda and in consultation with the representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting decided to rectify the Qty. of woven fabric of synthetic staple fibres by enhancing from 3.35 Sq mtr./Pc to 4.129 Sq mtr/Pc as per re-vised written comments of TC, Mumbai conveyed vide their letter dated 08.02.2008 in partial modification of its earlier decision taken on 08.03.2007.

The R.A shall be advised to take necessary action subject to compliance of other usual conditions.
