Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and heard S/Sh. U.S.Chari, Sr.GM and H.S.Rajput, Sr. Manager in the firm, who appeared for personal hearing in this case. He explained the case showing sample of export and import items alongwith shipping bills/Bill of entry. On going through the Bill of entry and perusal of ITC (HS) code of the import item i.e Grey Cotton fabric under the A/A in question, Committee observed that Grey cotton fabric contains 97% cotton and 3% Lycra. The representatives of firm also clarified that in this case, they are using on Vat dyes/Reactive. They explained that their units are one of the highly modernized plants in India. They are having modern technology, which involves latest dyeing & finishing technology for processing of fabrics and value added Readymade Garments. They explained that they have modernized machinery activities viz., Water repellent treatment, Wrinkle free treatment, Anti- macrobiotic treatment and flame retardant treatment etc. The representatives of the firm expressed their keen interest for visit of the team of Norms Committee for technological study point of view. The Committee after detailed deliberations in consultation with the representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting decided to ratify the A/A issued in this case as detailed below: - Export item Export Qty. The representative of DIPP pointed out that the case has been wrongly referred to them, actually the same should be referred to DC (MSME) for their comments. The Committee after detailed deliberations decided to link earlier relevant file of the firm wherein norms have been fixed for similar items. It was therefore decided to defer the case for re-listing on 03.07.2008.

F.No. 01/84/50/535/AM-07/DES-V Ratification of input output norms against Advance Authorization No. 0610011064 dt. 21.08.2006 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol.I) 2004-2009. earlier NC had decided this case in its meeting held on 13.12.2007 with condition that the description of export item may be amended to read as “ Gents Leather half boot lasted uppers fitted with or without steel toe caps containing minimum 4 Sq ft. of finished leather/Pair”. Now, firm have represented to delete the same from the description of
