Please Note For information of exporters, Norms Committee - V handles all cases pertaining to fixation/ratification of norms for Export Products falling under ITC (HS) Chapter 41 to 43, 50 to 67 .Communications in respect of cases/pertaining to NC- V may be sent to email address: nc5.dgft@nic.in I. While redeeming the applications, RAs should check that the applicant has fulfilled all requirements as prescribed in policy/procedure including those in Policy Circulars issued from time to time or any other provisions under FTP/HBP for EODC. Norms Committee Decision:

The Committee considered the case as per agenda along with other relevant paper and noted that the firm has requested to fix new SION for item namely Men's Suit Set of Three Piece (Jacket + Trouser + Waist Coat) With Lining. In this regard, it was observed that the issue was already examined earlier and accordingly AEPC was requested to provide the consumption data for the proposed item for new SION from other manufacturers/exporters during last 3 years. In response, AEPC intimated that they do not have any data in this regard. The issue was deliberated and noted that this item i.e. “The Men's Suit Set of Three Piece” is a fashion trend base item, accordingly as per the recommendation of the technical authority, the committee decided that the firm may take A/A as per their requirement with additional required inputs as per buyer’s demand under para 4.7 of FTP. For fixation of new SION, the production and consumption data of the item for the past three years from different industries is required.
