Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and observed that firm have mentioned the GSM of export item 20.60 and the total GSM of hook tape (GSM-6.75) and (GSM- 6.90) loop tape (width 20MM) works out 13.65. Therefore, addition 6.95 GSM is added in the weight of export item due to Hot melt adhesive glue. Thus, the total Qty. in export item of 24000 Mtrs. width 20MM would be 480 Sq mtrs. Accordingly, the total weight of Adhesive in the export item would be 3.336 Kgs. Therefore Committee felt that considering 10% wastage, the weight of Adhesive glue works out 3.67 Kgs (round figure). Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and observed that firm have pointed out some error in the earlier decision of NC. Now, firm have informed that their export item is Polyethylene door mats with crumb rubber backing and their unit of measurement is in square meter not in kilograms. The Committee felt that the total weight of export item constitutes the weight of crumb rubber and weight of polyethylene door mat & PU binder, hence separate weight of the each component alongwith composition has not been made available by the firm.
