M/s. Viraj Exports Pvt. Ltd., Noida. File No.01/84/50/474/AM-07/DES-V Re-fixation of input output norms against Advance Authorisation No.0510197920 dated 16.01.2007. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and observed that against the A/L in question firm intends to import “Super Tag VST (Charcoal) and Super Tag VST( Tack)” for the export of “Cotton Powerloom Readymade Garments with Supertag VST, Charcoal & Tack (Dress-Ladies Blouse & Top. It was observed that the literature mentioned by the firm is a security device/anti-theft device and is not a raw material/component/consumables/accessories etc. and these are re-usable and are not essential part of garments. In view of above, the Committee was unable to finalise the norms and constrained to reject the case. RLA may take suitable consequential action accordingly.

M/s. Loyal Textiles Mills Ltd., Kovilpatti. Ref. received from O/o Textile Commissioner, Mumbai File No.01/84/162/261/AM-10/DES-V Regarding DGFT Norms Committee Members Visit Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and observed that a technical committee of DGFT was visited in February, 2010 in the production unit of M/s. Loyal Textiles Mills Ltd., Cuddalore for an on the spot study of requirement of dyes and chemicals for production of flame retardant industrial work wears and high visibility fabrics for allowing the same for import under Advance Licence Scheme of Government of India. Later on, a Public Notice No.88 was issued on 27th December, 2011 making necessary amendment in General Note No.5 for Textiles (Product Code:J).

        Now, the applicant firm has stated that in order to comply with the enhanced standards of overseas customers, the firm have

increased the consumption of flame retardant chemicals, after lot of R&D and also based on the recommendation of the German chemical manufacturer and grant the input output norms, as requested by the firm, by exempting their case from the General Note restriction of 26%. The firm propose to depute a technical team to visit their production unit to conduct a study and also scrutinise their consumption records.

Accordingly, Committee after deliberations in consultation with representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting decided that the request of the applicant firm will be consider when all the technical members of the Norms Committee will be present. It was decided to defer the case for re-listing on 21.06.2012.
