MEETING NUMBER : 32/82‐ALC4/2009 MEETING DATE : 03.11.2009 The Meeting No.32/82 in the year 2009‐10 to consider the cases under Duty Exemption Scheme (Chapter‐4) of Foreign Trade Policy, 2004‐09 pertaining to products falling in Chapter 29 and 30 was held on 27.10.2009 under the Chairmanship of Addl DGFT, Shri V.K. M/s Reliance Industries Ltd. F. No. 01/82/162/00203/AM10 Committee considered case as per agenda and observed that the firm has submitted 5 Shipping bills for export product Orthoxylene for the period from 03.04.2008 to 26.08.2008 and as per these shipping bills, the average FOB value for 1 kg of export product comes to Rs.45,345/‐. Committee also observed that there are two inputs allowed for import under SION A‐2692. The firm has submitted copies of 5 Nos. of Bills of Entries in respect of first import item and the second input has been allowed under SION as 1% of fob value. The average cif value has been worked out to Rs.38,871/‐. As per the above data furnished by firm, the value addition comes to 16.65%. A䬀er detailed deliberations, Committee decided to recommend the case to DEPB Committee with 50% value addition for fixation of DEPB rate. Working sheet may also be sent to DEPB Committee. .

It was, therefore, decided to enhance the quantity of Compactin to the extent of 4.00 kg/kg of export product without any other change in the decision of NC taken in 9/82 meeting held on 31.05.2006.
