MEETING NUMBER : 29/82‐ALC4/2008 MEETING DATE : 14.10.2008 The Meeting No.29/09 in the year 2008‐09 to consider the cases under Duty Exemption Scheme (Chapter‐4) of Foreign Trade Policy, 2004‐09 pertaining to products falling in Chapter 29 and 30 due for 14.10.2008 was actually held on 20.10.2008 under the Chairmanship of Export Commissioner, Shri Sanjay Rastogi in his chamber. Norms Committee Meeting No.29/09 F.No.01/82/050/00644/AM09 Meeting Date: 20.10.2008 RA Fo.03/95/040/00165/AM09 Adv.Lic.No.0310475874 dated 23.06.2008 Committee considered case as per agenda and in light of written comments forwarded by Chemical Division vide their U.O. No.14010/43/2007‐Ch.II dated 08.04.2008 decided to allow amendment in the description of import Item No.1 and its quantity to read as “2‐Mercapto Benzo Thiazole – 0.910 kg/kg of export product” without any other change in the decision of NC taken in its 15/82 meeting held on 08.07.2008. Before implementation of the above decision of NC, the firm may be asked to submit Registration Certificate/clearance from Central Insecticides Board, Department of Agriculture and Co‐operation as the export item has its use as fungicide in leather industry.

F.No.01/83/050/00752/AM04 RA Fo.03/24/040/01025/AM04 Adv.Lic.No.0310221706 dated 29.08.2003 Committee considered case as per agenda and observed that the case was earlier approved by NC‐IV in its 41/83 meeting held on 04.02.2004 “as applied by the firm” and the same was again considered on manual agenda by NC‐IV in its 10/07 meeting held on 07.10.2006 and it was decided to defer the case for 05.07.2006 for comments of PI Division. Committee a䬀er detailed deliberations and in consultation with technical authority present in meeting decided to call for a detailed report in the matter alongwith the copy of decision of NC, if any from RA. Accordingly, case was deferred for 11.11.2008.

F.No.01/83/050/00048/AM08 RA Fo.07/24/040/00810/AM08 Adv.Lic.No.0710050467 dated 06.03.2007 Committee considered the case as per agenda and observed that the firm had earlier submitted the copy of Master Batch Formula vide their letter dated 20.07.2007 and now they have submitted another Master Batch Formula which is different. Committee also observed that the export product can be manufactured against the specific Advance licence with one Master Batch Formula. It was, therefore decided to maintain status quo.

DGFT vide letter referred to above has informed that the description of import item was amended from Levamisole BP 98 to Levamisole Hcl B.P. 2000 on 11.02.2004 on the request of the firm who had submitted copy of L/C. This letter should be part of Minutes.
