Minutes of NC-V meeting held on 12.01.2012

        The meeting No.41/AM-12 for the licensing year 2011-12 to consider the cases under Duty Exemption Schemes (Chapter-

4. held on 12.01.2012 in Room No.4 of DGFT under the Chairmanship of Shri A.K. Singh, Jt. DGFT. The following officers were present:-

M/s Magsons Exports, New Delhi NC 41/AM-12, dt.12.1.2012 File No.01/84/162/174/AM-12/DES-V Redemption of Advance Authorisation No. 0510196136 dated 12.12.2006. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and heard Mr. Victor Peter, Shipping Manager of the firm, who appeared for personal hearing before NC. He explained the case alongwith sample and shipping bill. He stated that by mistake wrong quantity and wrong SION No.J-166 was quoted and requested to correct the same. The Committee observed that exported product is men’s gown which is generally wearied by Baptist and around 7.47 sq, meter cloth has been utilised for per gown. After calculating the GSM and weight of the product of 825 gown, it comes around 1048 Kgs and after 10% wastage, it comes around 981 Kgs. and this weight has been indicated in the shipping bill. Accordingly, Committee after deliberations in consultation with representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting agreed to considered the case and allow for change description reference to any SION number and decided to ratify the Advance Authorization issued in this case as detailed below:- S.No. Export Product Export Quantity Import item Quantity allowed 1. It was, therefore, decided to await the same and defer the case for re-listing on 9.2.2012.
