dated 14.03.2007 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol.I) 2004-2009. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and heard Sh. M.K.Jain, Proprietor, who appeared for personal hearing in this case. He explained the case alongwith sample, measurement, calculation sheets and laymarker pertaining to this case. It was also informed that firm have exported 17056 Pcs (export product No. 2) instead of 15420 Pcs against the A/A in question. The Committee after detailed deliberations in consultation with representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting decided in partial modification of its earlier decision as detailed below: - (I) Against export item No. 1, the Qty. allowed of the following import items may be enhanced - Import item No. 1 (fabric) from 1.75 Sq mtrs. to 1.86 Sq mts/Pc and import item No. 6 (Elastic) from 0.70 Mtrs/Pc to 0.85 Mts/Pc.

dated 05.11.2007 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol.I) 2004-2009. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and heard Sh. S.M.S.Mani, an authorized representative of the firm, who appeared for personal hearing in this case. During discussion, it was observed that the representative was neither well conversant with matter nor he could explain that which import items are used for which export items and what are their respective quantitative requirement on which ground Committee had rejected this case. In view of this Committee decided to advise the applicant firm to send their representative, who is well conversant with the matter in the NC meeting to be held on 06.08.2009 alongwith relevant details so that Committee can take its final view.

The case stands deferred for re-listing on 06.08.2009.

During discussion, it was observed that the representative was neither well conversant with matter nor he could explain that which import items are used for which export items and what are their respective quantitative requirement on which ground Committee had rejected this case. In view of this Committee decided to advise the applicant firm to send their representative, who is well conversant with the matter in the NC meeting to be held on 06.08.2009 alongwith relevant details so that Committee can take its final view.

The Committee after detailed deliberations in consultation with representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting decided in partial modification of its earlier decision as detailed below: - (i) Size-wise specification mentioned in the description of export items is deleted. Moreover, exports were made prior to the communication of NC decision.

Ltd., Bangalore F.No. 01/84/162/644/AM-09/DES-V Fixation of SION for 100% cotton Sewing Thread (undyed/dyed) Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and heard Sh. B.Sekar, Manager and Sh. Ashok Sehgal, an authorized representative of the firm, who appeared for personal hearing in this case. The Committee observed that TEXPROCIL have neither given compiled data in respect of 3-4 different firms nor their comments with regard to quantitative norms for this inputs. In view of this Committee decided to reject the request of the firm and to advise TEXPROCIL to furnish industry data in respect of 3-4 different firms alongwith their comments with regard to quantitative norms for this inputs under intimation to the applicant firm. Accordingly, this case is rejected and finally closed. Firm may apply afresh for fixation of SION with EPC recommendations and 3-4 industry data.

dated 14.09.2004 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol.I) 2004-2009. Proprietor, who appeared for personal hearing in this case. The Committee observed that this case has already been cleared by ALC in its meeting held on 17.03.2005 and subsequently on 12.05.2005 and on 07.07.2005, but it appears that firm have not received the decision of said ALC in spite of the fact that the same were issued to them. In view of this Committee decided to send copies of all these decision of ALC to firm as well as R.A for their necessary action.

The Committee observed that this case has already been cleared by ALC in its meeting held on 07.07.2005 and 05.07.2007, but there was some error in the description of export item i.e Belt has not been asked against export item No.1 and 2. The Committee decided to ratify the inputs in this case as applied by the firm in partial modification of its earlier decision.

The Committee observed that in this case compiled industry data in respect of 3-4 different firms alongwith comments of SRTEPC have not been received, which is essential for fixation of SION. In view of this Committee decided to reject the request of the firm and to advise SRTEPC to furnish industry data in respect of 3-4 different firms alongwith their comments with regard to quantitative norms for this inputs under intimation to the applicant firm. . Accordingly, this case is rejected and finally closed. Firm may apply afresh for fixation of SION with EPC recommendations and 3-4 industry data.

M/s Madura Coates Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore F.No. 01/84/162/53/AM-09/DES-V Modification of SION for Sewing Thread (dyed), J-4. case. The Committee observed that the procedure for modification of SION as well as fixation of SION are more or less the same. In this case industry data in respect of 3-4 different firms alongwith comments of SRTEPC have not been received. In view of this Committee decided to reject the request of the firm and to advise SRTEPC to furnish industry data in respect of 3-4 different firms alongwith their comments with regard to quantitative norms for this inputs under intimation to the applicant firm. . Accordingly, this case is rejected and finally closed. Firm may apply afresh for fixation of SION with EPC recommendations and 3-4 industry data.

Therefore after deliberations in consultation with representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting, Committee decided to rectify the earlier decision as under: - Export item
