Amendment in the Lic with respect to import item i.e. Shea Nuts of Oil content other than 45+/1% The case was considered by the committee as per agenda. It was noted that out of 3510MT of Shea Nuts allowed in the advance licence No. 410092967 dated 01.01.2008, applicant firm has already imported 3509MT. The imported quantity should be as per specification laid down in the SION E125 applicable at that time i.e. the oil content of Shea Nuts should be 45+1%. However, for the remaining quantity of 1MT of Shea Nuts yet to be imported, Committee agreed that this may be treated as an adhoc case and the specification as per Public Notice 184 dated 05.06.2009 may be applied for the balance import. That is the condition that oil content of Shea Nuts 45 + 1% will not apply. For every one percent increase in the oil content beyond 46% in Shea Nut, the permitted quantity for its import may decrease by 150 kgs on prorata basis and for every one percent decrease in oil content below 44% in Shea Nut, the permitted quantity for its import may increase by 150 kgs on prorata basis.
