Import 1.        Item no 1 & 2­ The firm has increased quantity of import marginally and sought wastage of 2% on tubes which is reasonable. Hence this Office recommends for import of tubes at 130 MT for item no 1 & 50 MT for item no 2 as applied by the firm with 2% wastage.  2.        Item no 3­ “Tube sheet, Blind Flange, Cover Flange” may be deleted from the description of import item. Quantity of import is 11 numbers which may be incorporated along with the weight.   The difference between FOB Value of Export & CIF value of import is only Rs 4.1 Lakhs (Value addition is only 1.9%) & the firm is using 54 tons of indigenous materials like plates, tubes & electrodes etc. Taking into account the value of indigenous inputs, total value of inputs may exceed fob value.     11
