Ltd for ratification of norms of licence no 0310476211 dt 240608 DESI, DGFT may kindly refer to the above mentioned licence of M/s Precihole Machine Tools Pvt. Ltd. The firm has applied for ratification of norms for export of 5 numbers of “COLLAR, high flow,8 EWR, phase 4). The firm has submitted information vide their letter of 281009. 1. The firm has imported round bar of length 148 inches( 3759.2 mm) and dia 215.9 mm. The firm has used over size blanks. The same could be managed with blank of size 209 mm dia and length 3723 mm whose weight comes to 995 kg. 2. The finished weight is 605.7 kg. Wastage comes to 64%. Taking 20% recovery, net wastage to be allowed 51%. Hence the firm’s entitlement comes to 4573 kg . Since the total number of round bars that can be imported comes to 4.3, this Office recommend for 5 number of bars as applied by the firm. The above issues with the approval of Joint Secretary (B). DESI, DGFT may kindly refer to the above mentioned licence of M/S Godrej & Boyce ltd. The firm has replied vide their letter of 301209 after PH. The reply is incomplete. However based on the information available, this office recommends the following. EXPORT The total export weight of the products is 76.4 MT & the same may be incorporated in the licence. IMPORTS 1. Item no 1 – Word “forgings” may be deleted & word Finished may be added to the description. Weight may be restricted to 2740 kg & the same may be incorporated in the licence. 2. Item no 2 – Word “forgings” may be deleted & word Finished may be added to the description. Weight may be restricted to 387 kg & the same may be incorporated in the licence. 3. Item no 3 The quantity may be restricted to 6122 kg with 2% wastage. 4. Item no 4 The quantity may be restricted to 16853 kg with 2% wastage. 5. Item no 5 5440 kg may be allowed as applied for with 5% wastage. 6. The firm has not given calculation of requirement of welding material. This Office recommends 2% of the weight of the export. The entitlement comes to 1528 kg. There fore item no 6 to 8 may be allowed at 764 kg each 7. Bhonsle, raw material in their case is Incoloy Alloy 925 Bars which has special properties like high working temperature & high wear resistance which is the requirement for their export product and the cost of this Raw material is about Rs 2000/Kg. Further according to Sh. Bhonsle selling rate of scrap generated during the manufacturing process which is in the form of turning chips is approx. Rs 45 to Rs 55 per Kg and therefore, he requested that as the sale price of scrap is negligible, no recovery may be taken in their case. Committee deliberated on the issue and noted that as per the invoice for the import item, cost of raw material is US$ 41.1684/ Kg (Rs. 1936/ Kg at 1 USD = Rs 47) and as per the Tax Invoice submitted by the firm, sale price of scrap was Rs 49.75/Kg which is about 2.6% of the import price of Raw material. It was further noted by the Committee that firm in their some of the letters have indicated the sale price of scrap as Rs 70 to Rs 80 per Kgs. Taking above into consideration, Committee decided that a recovery of 5% may be taken in this case and accordingly, it was decided that, quantities of import items in this case may be allowed as under : 1.
