Minutes of NC-V Meeting held on 27.10.2011

The Meeting No. 30/AM-12 for the licensing year 2011-12 to consider the cases under Duty Exemption Schemes (Chapter-4) scheduled for 27.10.2011 was held on 27.10.2011 in Room No. 4 of DGFT under the Chairmanship of Shri A.K.Singh, Jt. M/s. Arvind Ltd., Ahmedabad F.No.01/84/50/143/AM-12/DES-V Ratification of input output norms against Advance Authorisation No.0710080779 dated 20.7.2011 dated 20.7.2011

PRO version Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and observed that firm has not given measurement for each style number alongwith justification for asking higher quantity. of inputs. In view of the above, Committee was unable to compute the requirement of inputs asked for in this case and hence decided to reject the case.

           RA may take suitable consequential action accordingly.

M/s. Ferreterro India (P) Ltd.,Delhi F.No.01/84/50/184/AM-12/DES-V Ratification of input output norms against Advance Authorisation No.0510210001 dated 4.10.2007

Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and in consultation with the representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting decided to call for the applicant firm for personal hearing before NC meeting to be held on 17.11.11 alongwith sample, complete justification and technical person to explain the case.

      The case stands deferred for re-listing on 17.11.2011.

M/s. Orient Craft Ltd., Gurgaon. NC 28/12 dt. 13.10.2011 F.No. 01/84/50/143/AM-11/DES-V Fixation of ad-hoc norms against Annual Advance Authorisation No.0510264383 dated 14.05.2010. Decision : The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other papers and observed that case is under examination of DC (MSME). It was therefore decided to await the same and defer the case for re-listing on 24.11.2011.

Case No.235

M/s. K.E. Technical Textiles Pvt. Ltd.,Kolkata NC 30/12 dt. 27.10.2011 F.No. 01/84/50/310/M-11/DES-V Fixation of SION for Tubular Bag.

Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and the report submitted by the Technical Team which had visited the unit located at Kharagpur on 5.10.2010. Technical Authorities present in the meeting informed that this firm is sole manufacturer of Tubular Bag as claimed by the applicant. It was observed that M/s K.E. Technical Textiles Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata is only applicant for fixation of SION in this case whereas for fixation of SION at least 3 – 4 different firms/industry data is required. In view of this Committee decided that TEXPROCIL may be asked to confirm whether the applicant firm is sole manufacturer of this product

        In case this is confirmed, the Committee recommends publication of SIONs   as recommended in the report of the technical team as under:-
