At the outset the Minutes of NC Meeting Nos. 17/AMO9 dated 24.07.2008, 18/AMO9 dated 31.07.2008, 19/AMO9 dated 07.08.2008, 20/AMO9 dated 14.08.2008 and 21/AMO9 dated 21.08.2008 were ratified. The Agenda for individual cases for Meeting No. 22/AM09 was taken up for discussion and the decision taken in respect of each case is enumerated below: -

Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and perused the recommendations sent by DC (MSME) vide their U.O dated 19.08.2008. The Committee felt that the description of import item given therein i.e 1005 flax/linen yarn (knotted & containing slubs and thick & thin places) does not seem to be specific. Further, process flow chart alongwith stage-wise wastage given by the firm is also not clear. In view of this Committee decided to request DC(MSME) for review their recommendations in consultation with the firm taking into consideration the appropriate specification of description of import item. Hence, case has been deferred for re- listing on 25.09.2008.

The RLA shall be advised to take necessary action subject to compliance of other usual conditions.

Case No. 280

M/s Orient Fashions exports (India) Pvt. Ltd, F.NO.1/84/50/661/AM06-DES-V Re-fixation of input output norms in respect of Advance Authorization No. 0510173215 dt. 29.12.2005 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol1) 2004-2009. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and heard Smt.

PRO version Neelam Negi, an authorized representative of the firm, who appeared for personal hearing in this case. She explained the case without sample of export items. The Committee was not satisfied with the presentation, hence advised the representative to attend personal hearing in its meeting to be held on 11.09.2008 alongwith sample. Hence, case stands deferred for re-listing on 11.09.2008.

Case No. 281

M/s Orient Fashions exports (India) Pvt. Ltd, F.NO.1/84/50/150/AM09-DES-V Re-fixation of input output norms in respect of Advance Authorization No. 0510221882 dt. 10.06.2008 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol1) 2004-2009. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and heard Smt. Neelam Negi, an authorized representative of the firm, who appeared for personal hearing in this case. She explained the case alongwith CAD. The Committee after deliberations in consultation with representatives of technical authorities present in the meeting decided to ratify the advance authorization issued in this case by allowing the item of import @ 3.26 Sq mtrs./Pc against the A/A in question. The nominee of AEPC was advised that a circular may be issued from AEPC to the effect that wherever, Qty. is asked more than that of Qty. allowed in SION, specific Style No., design should invariably be mentioned in export product.

The RLA shall be advised to take necessary action subject to compliance of other usual conditions.

M/s R.B.R Garments Pvt. Ltd, F.NO.1/84/162/745/AM08-DES-V Re-fixation of input output norms in respect of Advance Authorization No. 3210036020 dt. 21.08.2007 – under Para 4.7 of HBP (Vol1) 2004-2009. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and observed that information/documents called for from applicant firm is still awaited. It was decided to await the same and defer the case for re-listing on 25.09.2008.

Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda and observed that the case is under examination of DC (MSME). Hence, it was decided to defer the case for re-listing on 25.09.2008.

M/s Embee Apparels Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi F.NO.1/84/50/43/AM07 -DES-V Ratification of input output norms in respect of Advance Authorization No.0710044653 dt.02.05.2006 – under Para 4.7 of HBP(Vol1)2004-2009. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda and observed that this case was earlier decided by NC in its meeting held on 29.06.2006 as per recommendations of DC (MSME). On representation of firm, this case has been reviewed as per revised recommendations of DC (MSME) vide their U.O dated 28.08.2008.It has been observed that the Qty. of shell fabric i.e 98% cotton, 2% spandex corduroy fabric has been reassessed on the basis of measurement and style of the garment and decided to allow 98% cotton, 2% spandex corduroy fabric @ 1.32 Sq mtrs. (1.18 yards) against the A/A in question in partial modification of NC decision taken on 29.06.2006.

The R.A shall be advised to take necessary action subject to compliance of other usual conditions.
