Due to backlog, the agenda could not be taken up for discussion on due date. However, representa捀ves of firm who had come for personal hearing were heard by the Commi掀ee. S/Shri Ashok Dhingra, J. Sagar, Naresh Sharma and Ms Sonia Malik, on behalf of firm appeared before Commi掀ee and stated that they are leading manufacturer of Drugs and Drug Intermediates and 75% of their produc捀on is being exported. Shri Dhingra explained that the ad‐hoc norms fixed by Commi掀ee in respect of export product 6‐Amino Penicillinic Acid (6‐APA) pertaining to subject advance licence are less than the actual requirement of the firm and they have furnished Produc捀on and Consump捀on data of the export product duly cer捀fied by the jurisdic捀onal Excise Authori捀es for the last three years. Based on this data and compara捀ve analysis of the norms asked for ad‐hoc norms fixed in this case are less and as such they have requested for enhancement in the quan捀ty of inputs. He further stated that they are manufacturing the export product through different route for which higher inputs are required. He further stated that they have already got enhanced quan捀ty of inputs against various advance licences for this export product in the past. He was of the view that some inputs asked for by them are required for produc捀on of this export product but the same have not been allowed by the Commi掀ee. Commi掀ee aŌer detailed delibera捀ons decided that there is no scope for enhancement in the quan捀ty of inputs since the ad‐hoc norms fixed in this case are based on comparison of data of various firms. Commi掀ee further decided that the representa捀on, if any, of the firm for allowing inputs which have not been allowed by the Commi掀ee may be considered on merits.
