Dispensing off the requirement of Mate Receipt-reg. Attention of Exporter, Importers, Customs House Agents, Members of Trade and all the stakeholders is invited to the subject matter. 2. At present Mate receipt copies are being asked by Boarding Officer as proof of loading of containers in the vessel and by EP copy print out section before giving printout of EP copies of Shipping Bills. Considering the face that EGM is the proof of the export of containerized cargo and also considering the face that the same database is used for generation of Mate Receipt and EGM, there should not be any separate requirement of production of Mate Receipt of Customs purposes except in case of manual Shipping Bills and Bulk cargo as a proof of export.

Examination/Ins ection of goods under :mport without Delivery Order. In view of the request from the Trade and. the practice as followed in Chennai Customs vide Circular No. 12/ 2012 dated 29.12.2012 and Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House vide Public Notice No. 65/2012 dated ()5:12.2012 it has been decided that in order to reduce the cost/dwell time of clearance of cargo the inspection/ examination of the goods will be allowed by the Customs Officers without any insistence of Delivery Order. Custodian, — _[mporter/ Custéms Broker shall present _ the goods for inspection/ examination of the cargo as soon as the goods are registered for examination; however, the cargo may only be released after production of Delivery Order. z. This facility notice will be effective from the date of issue. Any problem faced in this regard may be brought to the notice of Addl. Commissioner of Customs.
