Subject: Import of Un-shredded Metallic Scrap - m/r.

Attention of all Exporters/ Customs brokers /Shipping Lines/ Custodians and Members of Trade is invited to the Public Notice Number 63/(2015-2020) dated 27.03.2017 issued by DGFT, New Delhi. The DGFT, New Delhi, has amended the existing Public Notice No. 38/(2015-2020) dated 03.10.2016 with regard to procedure governing import of un-shredded scrap (HMS-I & HMS-II) under Para 2.54 of Hand Book of Procedures (2015-2020) and extended the validity for Import of Un-shredded met ‘lic scrap from Mundra port till 31.03.2018. ,

2. Presently, Import of un-shredded Metallic Scrap containers are allowed for clearance from Mundra Port to ICD through the SMTP filed by Shipping Lines transported through Container Train Operator.

3. Based on the Public Notice 63/(2016-2020) dated 27.03.2017, all the shipping lines are hereby directed not to file SMTP for clearance of un-shredded metallic scrap container which passes through Mundra Ports for ICD/EOU/SEZ.

4. Difficulties faced if any, may please be brought to the undersigned.
