This Plant was visited by a team constituted by DGFT about a year back for another product i.e. prefilled syringes and it was cross checked at the time of visit that the components which are in excess in a batch are disposed off as a waste and cannot be reused in the next batch as per US FDA guidelines. The firm has also assured that they export directly to US and no other country. The firm has already given actual production and consumption data duly certified by Central Excise Authority in respect of the higher wastage in the packaging material. As these packaging material are different from that of our Policy, it has been decided in the Committee to seek the approval of DG(FT) for higher norms. 2
