He further informed that the iron content is not more than 3 ppm and PPPBP Purity is not less than 99.90%. After detailed deliberations and in light of production and consumption data certified by Central Excise Authority and in consultation with technical authority present in meeting, decided to revise norms as per details below or as applied by the firm whichever is lower:

Committee observed that earlier DC(MSME) had recommended the quantity of root to the extent of 4.8 kg/kg of export product, but the firm was allowed import of root to the extent of 4.4 kg/kg of the export product. After detailed deliberations and in consultation with technical authorities present in meeting, Committee decided to enhance the quantity of Ipecac Root to the extent of 4.8 kg/kg of export product for regularisation of these advance authorizations. 1
