Minutes of NC-V meeting held on 01.11.2012 The meeting No.30/AM-13 for the licensing year 2012-13 to consider the cases under Duty Exemption Schemes (Chapter- 4) held on 01.11.2012 in Room No.11 of DGFT under the Chairmanship of Shri K.C. Rout, Addl. DGFT. The following officers were present:-

At the outset, the Minutes of NC-V Meeting No.28/AM-13, dated 18.10.2012 and Meeting No.29/AM-13, dated 25.10.2012 were taken for ratification. As there were no amendments to the same, the above referred minutes of 18.10.2012 and 25.10.2012 were adopted for implementation by the Committee without any amendment. The agenda for meeting No.30/AM-13 dated 01.11.2012 was taken up for discussion and the decision taken in respect of each case is enumerated below:-

M/s Laxmi fabrics, Bangalore File No.01/84/162/424/AM-13/DES-V Request to facilitate the issue of DFIA Authorization under Textiles SION J-51 for Grey/ Dyed/Printed Fabrics with Embroidery (made out of 100% Natural Silk Fabrics, width-44”, GSM-54+/-, Undyed and Unprinted) against the import of 100% Natural Silk Fabrics, width-44”, GSM-54+/- undyed and unprinted for ratio of 1 Sq. meter:1.01 Sq. meter. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and observed that applicant firm has requested to issue the DFIA Authorization under Textile SION J-51. The description of export item given as “Grey/dyed/printed fabrics with embroidery made out of 100% Natural Silk fabrics, GSM-54, width-44” undyed and unprinted” whereas in SION J- 51, the description of export product given as “Grey/Dyed/Printed Fabrics with Embroidery”.

It is observed that the description of export product given in SION J-51 does not match with one to one description of export product given by the applicant firm, as Silk products does not get covered under SION J-51. The Silk products covered

PRO version under SION J-123, J-124, J-125, J-129 & J-132. Moreover, applicant firm has not made available the shipping bills of the export products in support of their proposal. The Committee agreed with the decision of the RA that the export product does not covered under SION J-51.
