The Meeting No. 18/AM-08 for the licensing year 2007-08 to consider the cases under Duty Exemption Schemes (Chapter-4) of Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09 pertaining to Textiles and Leather was held on 09.08.2007 in Room No.4 of DGFT under the Chairmanship of Shri A.K.Singh, Jt. At the outset the Minutes of NC Meeting No. 17/AM08 held on 02.08.2007 were ratified by the Committee. Thereafter the Agenda for individual cases for Meeting No. 18/AM08 was taken up for discussion and the decision taken in respect of each case is enumerated below: -

Decision: The Committee considered the case as per the agenda alongwith other relevant papers and observed that this case has already been cleared by NC in its meeting held on 14.12.2006 wherein import items viz., Rivets and Buttons were allowed in Nos. Firm, now requested that these items should be allowed in Sets in place of Nos. The Committee, in consultation with the technical authorities present in the meeting decided to allow these items in Sets instead of Nos against this Advance Licence.

Decision: The Committee considered the case as per the agenda alongwith other relevant papers and observed that this case has already been cleared by NC in its meeting held on 24.05.2007 and TC, Mumbai vide their letter dated 10.07.2007 have sent their written comments in this case. In view of this Committee decided that written comments of TC, Mumbai may be taken on record and status quo may be maintained in this case. The Committee also felt that a D.O letter from Chairman, NC-III should be sent to DC (MSME) and TC, Mumbai inviting their attention towards such delay in sending their comments, as A/As are required to be ratified within time frame as per existing Policy.
