DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE DESVI (FOOD & MISC) Minutes of the meeting of NCVI held on 04.03.2010 Meeting No. 44/AM10 for the licensing year 200910 to consider cases under Duty Exemption Schemes (Chapter4) of Foreign Trade Policy 200914 pertaining to Misc. & Food Products was held on 04.03.2010 under the Chairmanship of Shri A.K. Representative of the applicant Firm was present in the meeting. He stated that the active ingredient content in Griffonia Simplicifoli Seeds is 10% to 12% and the recovery is 4 to 6%. 5HTP is isolated by solvent extraction method and will be of 99% or 95% purity depending on buyer’s requirement. The production report in respect of two Batches (No. GS/02009/04 & GS/02009/05) brought by Firm’s representative indicated that the recovery of finished product is around 6%. In this advance licence also the recovery rate applied by the applicant is 6%.
