Minutes of the Norms Committee-II Meeting No. 06/09 held on 06.05.2008.
The Meeting No.06/09 of Norms Committee-II was held on 06.05.2008 for the licensing year 2008-2009 under the Chairmanship of Joint Director General of Foreign Trade (OPH) to consider the applications under Duty Exemption Scheme (Chapter-4) of Foreign Trade Policy 2004-2009. authorization was considered by the Norms Committee - II in its M.N0. 06/81 held on 06.05.2008. The committee observed that the existing SION Sr. No. C-297 is for the export of “Stamping(stator and rotor sets) for Electric Motor”. The wastage allowed under the SION is for sets. If the manufacturing is done separately, the wastages would be different. There are no specific norms for the individual items, which is a pre-requisite for DFIA Licensing Scheme. Accordingly, the committee decided to issue clarification to the firm.
