The Committee considered the case as per agenda regarding the advance licences taken by M/s VVF Ltd, Mumbai for export of Split Fatty Acid-C8-C18, Distilled Fatty Acid-C16-C18 and Split Fatty Acid – C16-C18 etc. The Committee received the report submitted by the representative of Deptt. of Chemical & Fertilizer (Chem. Div) vide U.O. No. 14010/73/2008-Ch-II dated 30/12/08. The matter was discussed and it was observed that adhoc norms was worked out by the technical authority based on the details of manufacturing process, flow chart, information and documents given by the firm and presentation before ALC in personal hearing and the cases were approved by the ALC. However report has been received from DRI that the firm has claimed excess wastage as it is evident from the statement given before DRI and the investigation report. Therefore, reduction in ad hoc norms has to be considered by NC after calling the firm for personal hearing. Accordingly firm may be called for personal hearing in the next ALC Meeting on 21.1.2009.
