DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE DES­VI (FOOD & MISC)   Minutes of the meeting NC­VI held on 7.2.2008.         The Meeting No.41/AM08  for the licensing year 2007­08 to consider the cases under Duty Exemption Schemes ( Chapter­4) of Foreign Trade Policy 2004­09 pertaining to Misc. & Food Products was  held on 7.2.2008 under the Chairmanship of Shri Anil Aggarwal  Jt. DGFT In his chamber of DGFT office.   At the outset minutes of NC meeting dt. 10.1.2008,17.1.2008 & 24.1.2008 were ratified in the meeting.             List of members present in  the meeting is at Annexure

The Committee considered the case as per agenda. It was noted that MPEDA vide letter  No. 11(7)/2006­07 has conveyed the expert opinion that the import  item  Dried  Seaweed  Gelidium  would give an yield of 7.5­8% for production of Agar Agar  Grade  Strips/Powder  Grade  Food/Microbiological/Bacteriological Pharma. The firm has applied 8% yield. The Committee therefore ratified the quantity as applied for:   Import item                                                                                            Qty.                                                                                                             20,000 kg.
