Minutes of NC-V meeting held on 29.05.2014

        The meeting No.08/AM-15 for the licensing year 2014-15 to consider the cases under Duty Exemption Schemes (Chapter-
  1. was held on 29.05.2014 in Conference Room No.11 of DGFT under the Chairmanship of Shri K.C. Rout, Addl. DGFT. The following officers were present:-

At the outset, the Minutes of NC-V Meeting No.07/AM-15 for 22.05.2014 were taken up for ratification. As there were no amendments to the same, the above referred minutes of 22.05.2014 were adopted for implementation by the Committee without any amendment. The agenda for meeting No.08/AM-15 dated 29.05.2014 was taken up for discussion and the decision taken in respect of each case is enumerated below:-

M/s TCNS Ltd., Noida NC 08/AM-15, dt. 29.05.2014 File No.01/84/171/012/AM-15/DES-V Request for regularization of Advance Licences Nos.0510069097 dated 25.09.2002 and 0510130263 dated 25.06.2004. Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and heard Mr. Vikas Chopra presented on behalf of the firm. Mr. Vikas Chopra informed the Committee that the redemption of these cases is pending due to minor lapse that the applicant firm have not mentioned the GSM on the shipping bills. The export and import in these cases have been completed. Mr. Vikas Chopra requested the Committee to allow the calculation of GSM as per the net weight shown in the shipping bills to regularise the above cases. The Committee after deliberations decided to advise the CLA, New Delhi to accept the consumption on the basis of total net weight shown in the shipping bills to regularise these cases in terms of Note 19 of General Note on Textile.

Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and heard Mr. Vikas Chopra presented on behalf of the firm. Mr. Vikas Chopra informed the Committee that the redemption of these cases is pending due to minor lapse that the applicant firm have not mentioned the GSM on the shipping bills.
