Minutes of NC-V meeting held on 02.05.2013

        The meeting No.05/AM-14 for the licensing year 2013-14 to consider the cases under Duty Exemption Schemes (Chapter-

4. was held on 02.05.2013 in Room No.108 of DGFT under the Chairmanship of Shri K.C. Rout, Addl. DGFT. The following officers were present:-

At the outset, the Minutes of NC-V Meetings Nos.03/AM-14, dated 18.04.2013 and 04/AM-14, dated 25.04.2013 was taken for ratification. As there were no amendments to the same, the above referred minutes of 18.04.2013 and 25.04.2013 were adopted for implementation by the Committee without any amendment. The agenda for meeting No.05/AM-14 dated 02.05.2013 was taken up for discussion and the decision taken in respect of each case is enumerated below:-

PRO version 1 Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and observed that Advance Licence in this case was issued on 09.12.2011. The application set in this case was forwarded to DGFT by the O/o R.A., Bangalore vide their letter dated 27.03.2013 and the same was received in DGFT on 24.04.2013. The Committee after deliberations decided to ask the R.A., Bangalore to intimate the reasons for time taken i.e. more than one year after the issue of Advance licence to send the application to DGFT.

The Committee observed that full bleached woven flax fabrics i.e. import item cannot be further dye. In view of this, the Committee after deliberations decided to ask the applicant firm to explain whether the import fabric is fully bleached or semi bleached and make available the above clarification alongwith copy of bill of entry to consider the proposal further. The case stands for re-listing on 30.05.2013.
