Firm has represented against this decision and RA has also sent its report informing that they have issued Advance Authoriza렗on for import of Tubes, Pipes of various sizes which are raw material for supply of coal based cap렗ve power plant. The Commi➻�ee considered the representa렗on of the firm as well as the report of RA in detail. The representa렗ve of DHI informed that the firm has imported 60 MW steam turbine generators along with “Grinding coal plant” for supply of 60 MW cap렗ve power plants. Hence, the firm is impor렗ng en렗rely the power plant and supplying as it is and simply supplying the same cannot be considered as manufacturing ac렗vity. Accordingly, Advance Authoriza렗on cannot be issued in view of Policy Circular No.50. However, in case the firm desires to explain the case further as regards to the manufacturing ac렗vity which they are actually carrying out in this case, then they may appear before the Norms Commi➻�ee in personal hearing with suppor렗ng evidence on 22.1.2013 at 2.30 p.m. Case deferred for 22.1.2013.
