Following decisions were taken to expedite decision making in respect of pending applications for export and import authorizations: 4.1 All applications received till end of last month should be taken up in EFC meeting, that is applications received upto 31.12.2008 would be listed for January meeting. Agenda for the same would be sent during 25th to 30th
December which may incorporate applications received till mid month, that is, 15.12.2008. Cases received in 2nd fortnight of month would be put up as additional agenda. 4.2 Additional agenda items must reflect changes occurring in the meanwhile, i.e. after circulation of original agenda and before date of meeting. 4.3 Final decisions would be taken in all applications received upto 31.10.2008 in January meeting. Therefore, Administrative Ministries / Departments are requested to expedite their comments. 4.4 All cases where concerned Departments have given NOC may be put up expostfacto to EFC. Processing should normally not take more than 3 working days by which time, letter of approval must be issued. 4.5 Cases in which no communication is received from Administrative Department in time, and where similar products have been approved in the past, may also be submitted alongwith such details of past approvals for both import & Export authorization for taking decision by EFC. 5. It was decided that D.O. letter would be issued from DG to Secretary, Agriculture/ Secretary, MOEF in respect of cases pending for more than 3 months. 6.
