4.1             Henceforth, EFC meetings will be held on 2nd Wednesday of every month. (instead of 3rd Wednesday so far).   4.2             All applications received till end of last month should be taken up in EFC meeting, that is applications received upto 31.08.2008 would be listed for September meeting. Agenda for the same would be sent during 25th to 30th August which may incorporate applications received till mid month, that is, 15.08.2008.  Cases received in 2nd fortnight of month would be put up as additional agenda.   4.3             Additional agenda items must reflect changes occurring in the meanwhile, i.e. after circulation of original agenda and before date of meeting.   4.4             Final decisions would be taken in all applications received upto 30.06.2008 in September meeting.  Therefore, Administrative Ministries / Departments are requested to expedite their comments.   4.5             All cases where concerned Departments have given NOC may be put up ex­post­facto to EFC. Processing should normally not take more than 3 working days by which time, letter of approval must be issued.   4.6             Cases in which no communication is received from Administrative Department in time, and where similar products have been approved in the past, may also be submitted alongwith such details of past approvals for both import & Export authorization for taking decision by EFC.     4.7   In the cases of   (i)                  Lotus Labs (P) Ltd, Bangalore (ii)                Johnson & Johnsons Ltd, Mumbai and (iii)               Suven Life Sciences Ltd, Hyderabad  it was decided to clear cases appearing at Sl.No.75 to 81 of the agenda since these firms were earlier also granted permission to export  ‘Biological Samples/Blood Samples’.  .     5.         Meeting ended with thanks to all participants.
