Meeting No. 12/87-NC-7/2014 of NORMS COMMITTEE (NC-7) dealing with ‘Chapter 39 and 40 of ITC (HS) Code’ held on 18.06.2014 under the Chairmanship of Dr. L.B. Singhal, Addl. DGFT, Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi- 110011. Following officers attended the Meeting:

Decision: Ministry of Environment & Forest vide letter dated 22.05.2014 was requested to clarify how much quantity of “Used Rubber Tyre Scrap (Rubber Scrap)” and “Used Rubber Tube Scrap (Rubber Scrap)” are allowed to the firm during the year 2012 -13 and 2013-14 under duty free advance authorization scheme.

                    ILS Section was also requested vide office I.D. Note dated 23.05.2014 to furnish the details regarding how much

quantity of “Used Rubber Tube Scrap (Rubber Scrap)” and “Used Rubber Tube Scrap (Rubber Scrap)” are permitted during the year 2012-13 and 2013-14 to the firm. Reply awaited from MOEF and ILS Section.

                    Hence, it was decided to issue Reminder to MOEF and ILS Section to expedite their reply.
