The Committee considered the case as per agenda. It was noted   that the case has already been approved with 5% wastage. The firm has requested for allowing actual wastage and has furnished details vide their letter dated 24.1.2008 according to which the actuals have been indicated as under:   Import                                       Export 48 MT                                           44 MT             For producing 44 MT of export product, the wastage incurred is 4 MT of input ,which comes to 9.09%.               It was note that  the representative of Sugar during the meeting on 12.4.2007, when Advance Licence No. 0510200247  dated 5.3.2007 of the same firm was considered, stated that normally there was a loss of 8% to 12 %  for manufacture of “Globuli ( non­medicated) Sugar” and that on an average, wastage came to 10%. Accordingly,   10% wastage was allowed in Advance Licence No. 0510200247. Based on this, it was further noted that in  advance licence No. 0510203950 dated
