Minutes of NC-V meeting held on 25.10.2012 The meeting No.29/AM-13 for the licensing year 2012-13 to consider the cases under Duty Exemption Schemes (Chapter- 4) held on 25.10.2012 in Room No.11 of DGFT under the Chairmanship of Shri K.C. Rout, Addl. DGFT. The following officers were present:-

PRO version 1 Decision: The Committee considered the case as per agenda alongwith other relevant papers and observed that quantity of inputs in the export product for boys bibs is 0.30 sq. meter per piece and for blanket 1.66 sq. meter per piece in Appendix 11A whereas in calculation sheet, it is 0.33 sq. meter per piece and 1.826 sq. meter per piece respectively. This is contradictory. The applicant firm should give weight of input in KG. term in each export product and should give the calculation as to how the requirement of 0.30 sq. meter per piece for boys bibs and 1.66 sq. meter per piece for blankets has been arrived at and also give the wastage at each stage of manufacturing.

Accordingly, the Committee after deliberations decided to ask the applicant firm to make available the above information/details for consideration of the proposal. The case stands for re-listing on 22.11.2012.

i) In the export product, applicant firm should give content of each input in term of %age or Kg.

ii) Applicant firm should give separately the requirement of export product containing Latex Rubber, Spandex yarn, Lycra yarn etc. and not as option or for each of above inputs.

iii) Nylon denierage has been reflected from 80D to 120D, which cannot be permitted. Permissible range is +/-10%. Applicant firm should give the specific requirement for specific denierage and not with the wide range of 80D to 120D.

Accordingly, the Committee after deliberations decided to ask the applicant firm to make available the above information/details for consideration of the proposal. The case stands for re-listing on 22.11.2012.
