Case No. Revision of DEPB rates            Meeting No.23/81   Dated: 09­09­2008       Decision : The revised DEPB rates worked out on the basis of changes in custom duty made in the Budget 2007 and 2008 were placed before the Joint Committee of DES­I and II for Engineering and Electrical  products.  The committee was also informed that the revised calculations have been made using the existing data of value addition and weightage of individual inputs in an export product.  The committee took note  of the revised calculation and decided to forward the same to DEPB committee for further necessary action at their end.  It was also agreed that if any of the members of the committee have any comments on the revised rates, this may be forwarded to this NC or to the DEPB committee with in seven days.  Increase in DEPB rates wide PN 17 dated 12.07.2007 have not been taken into account by the NC.  Value cap of the products also remains same and there is no revision.
