Sh Srikanth also stated that a Sub‐Commiោ�ee of Norms Commiោ�ee had physically visited their plant in Bangalore in December, 2008 and recommended wastages for different components manufactured by them a៻�er taking 15 % recovery from Aluminum scrap and 5 % recovery from Ferrous scrap. According to Sh. Srikanth, recovery of 15 % taken on Aluminum scarp is very high as they are selling aluminum scrap at about Rs 45/ per Kgs. which is about 1 % of cif value on average basis. He further men៝�oned that Norms Commiោ�ee is not considering the non‐recoverable part of wastage during the manufacturing opera៝�ons as a lot of material is lost during machining due to burning and flushing along with coolants. He, therefore, requested that recovery scrap may be reduced. Applicant said that he is ready to submit documentary evidence cer៝�fied by their excise authori៝�es in support of their claim of recovery of 1 % for scrap.��

Firm was advised to submit basis of the consump៝�on norms, separately for each advance Authorisa៝�on supported by the details/size/weight of the components and raw material blank size/weight for the same, recoverable and non‐recoverable scrap etc. Applicant agreed to submit the same in two week ៝�me.
