M/s.  Bharat  Heavy Electricals  Ltd., Hardwar  F.No. 01/80/50/01056/AM08/DES.I Lic.No. & Date Meeting No.34/10 R.A. F.No.61/24/040/00045/AM08 6110000134 dt.11.02.2008 Date: 24.11.2009   Ratification of norms The case regarding revision of norms in respect of above authorization was considered by the Norms Committee (NC­I) in its Meeting No. 34/10 held on  01.12.2009 as  per agenda.  The  DHI  furnished  written  comments  in  this  case  vide  their  U.O.  No.    3(60)/08­TSW(B)/395    dated  22.10.09.  The Committee, after deliberating upon the case, decided to ratify the norms in respect of the subject advance authorization in accordance with their written comments as under:­   1.      Import item No. 14 (Forging to moving / guide blades) can not be allowed as its requirement is not justified by the firm. 2.      Import item no. 43 (various tyes of tools) are not allowed as the same are not part of the export product. 3.      Quantity of import item no. 66 (Copper) is allowed as 15 MT. 4.      Quantity of import items at sl.No. 70 & 71 (CRNGO) may be allowed as 144 MT including 20% wastage with 1/3rd recovery. 5.      Import item no. 110 (Water/Oil cooler) are not allowed as the same are not part of the export product. 6.      Quantity of import items at sl.No. 112 (Thermo Couple) may be allowed as per GN­4 for the engineering products. 7.      Quantity of import items at sl.No. 128 (Insulation) may be allowed as per GN­4 for the engineering products. 8.      NC earlier reduced the wastage of import items at sl.No. 137 (Steel) to 2.0% as calculations were not given.  The firm has even now provided calculations for 6.65 kg. against import of 30 MT.  Hence, additional quantity of this import item can not be allowed.       S.No.168

M/s.  Technova  Imaging Systems (P) Ltd.,  HQ F.No.01/80/162/00311/AM10/DES­I Meeting No. 34/10 Fixation of SION Date: 24.11.2009 The case regarding fixation of SION was considered by the Norms Committee (NC­I) in its Meeting No. 34/10 held on 01.12.2009 as per agenda. The DHI furnished written comments in this case vide their U.O. No.  1(2)/09­TSW(B)/435  dated 23.11.09 informing that subject item is manufactured by the applicant firm only, therefore, SION may not be fixed. The Commmittee deliberated the comments of DHI and felt that SION can be fixed even if the product is manufactured by only one exporter. Accordingly, the Committee decided to ask the EEPC to forward the representative consumption data if any other firm is also manufacturing the product or confirm that there is no other manufacturer. A copy of the reference to EEPC may be endorsed to the exporter also. Simultaneously, DHI may be requested to review the case for fixation of SION. The case may be relisted on 19.01.2010         (B. C. Nayak D.O., DHI)  Member      (S.K. Jain, D.O., DIPP)      Member
