Amendment/correction in the schedule of DEPB rates

(TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY PART­1­SECTION­1)   GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY   PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 46 (RE­ 03)/ 2002­2007 NEW DELHI : DATED : 04/02/2004.               In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy, 2002­2007 and paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Procedures (Vol­I), the Director General of Foreign Trade  hereby makes the following addition / correction / amendment in the book titled “Schedule of DEPB Rates”.   I) Product Group : Engineering            Product Code : 61   i)                    The description of the export product, the DEPB rate and value cap of Sl. No. 353 is amended to read as under:­   Sl. No. Description DEPB Rates (%) Value  cap  for  DEPB entitlement 353 Table,  Kitchen  and  other  household articles made of Stainless Steel with or without  handle/  lid;  irrespective  of what  material  the  handle  /  lid  may have been made of 13.00 Rs. 135.00 /kg   ii)                   After the existing entry at Sl. No. 585, the following new entry is inserted :­   Sl. No. Description DEPB Rates (%) Value  cap  for  DEPB entitlement 586 Auto  Parts  Double  Brake  Chamber Type 24 L/S 8 Rs. 750/­ per No. 587 Auto  Parts  Brake  Chamber  Type­16 L/S, Type­20 L/S, Type­24 L/S, Type­ 30L/S, Type­30 S/S 8 Rs. 375/­ per No.     iii)                 Further, in pursuance to para 4.38 A of Hand Book of Procedures, Vol­I as amended (upto 31.03.2003) providing for fixation of DEPB rates applicable for a limited period and as per Guidelines issued vide Policy Circular No. 12 (RE­2003)/2002­2007 dt. 11.07.2003, the following ad­hoc DEPB rates have been fixed:­

III) Product Group : Plastic            Product Code : 63   i)                    The DEPB rate of Sl. No. 23 is revised to 8% and value cap of Rs. 35 per kg is fixed ii)                   The DEPB rate of Sl. No. 35 is revised to 8% and value cap of Rs. 35 per kg is fixed iii)                 The value cap of Sl. No. 107 is revised to Rs. 100/­ per kg               After the existing entry at Sl. No. 140, the following new entry is inserted:­   Sl.
