Subject: Amendment in General Note No. 15 for Textiles (Product Code: J).

In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 and Paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Procedures (Vol. 1), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments/additions in the Handbook of Procedures . Vol. 2, 2015-2020, as amended.

2s The General Note No. 15 for Textiles (Product Code: J) is substituted as under:-

General Note No. 15:-

“In case of fabric, flexibility upto +/- 10% in GSM and in case of blended fabric, flexibility upto +/- 3% in Count in import/export shall be allowed.”

3, Effect of Public Notice :

In case of blended fabric, +/- 3% variation in Count shall be allowed and to that extent, amendments in norms (SION/Ad-hoc) against Advance Authorisation/Duty Free Import Authorisation will not be required.
