Decision: DIPP after examining the request of firm, furnished their comments vide letter dated 01.10.2012 as under:

 However, the Committee asked Import Licensing Section (ILS) to furnish their comments whether the Import Licences

have been issued for Restricted Item like “Used Tyre, Rubber, etc. under chapter 40 of ITS HS Code.

 ILS Section vide I.D. Note dated 27.11.2012 have informed that they have granted few permission to import of “Waste

parings and scrap of rubber (other than hard rubber) and powders and granules obtained therefrom, for usage by the industries in India for manufacturing crumb rubber on the recommendations of Ministry of Environment & Forest (MOEF) and Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) for actual use by the industries.

 In view of the above, the Committee considered the comments of ILS Section and decided to approve the case, as per

following adhoc norms as recommended by DIPP:
