Request: Fixation of new Standard Input-Output Norms for the export product “Poly Iso Butylene”.

Decision: The Committee discussed the case that the firm has applied for Standard Input- Output Norms (SION) for the export product “Poly Iso Butylene” directly instead of first applying under ‘No Adhoc Norms’ category or under para 4.7.

  1.              It was also confirmed from the records of last three licensing years that no adhoc norms have ever been fixed for the said

export product. Representative of D/o C&PC also intimate that there is only one firm in India i.e. M/s Kothari Petrochemicals Ltd. which is manufacturing this product.

  1.     The Committee noted that the SION could only be fixed on the basis of multiple representative manufacturing data and not

on the basis of single firm’s data. Hence, the Committee decided to reject the request of the firm for fixation of SION and advised firm to apply for fixation of adhoc norms under para 4.7 for the export product “Poly Iso Butylene”.
