DIRECTORATE GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE DESVI (FOOD & MISC) Minutes of the meeting of NCVI held on 25.08.2011 Meeting No. 16/12 for the licensing year 201112 to consider cases under Duty Exemption Schemes (Chapter4) of Foreign Trade Policy 2009 14 pertaining to Misc. & Food Products was held on 25.08.2011 under the Chairmanship of Ms. Shubhra, Jt. Decision taken in each case is enumerated below. Adhoc norms fixed in this meeting are valid for a period of 12 months as per Public Notice 37 dated 23.08.2007. 1 265 Party Name:MARICO LTD LTD., MUMBAI Meet No/Date:16/85ALC3/2011 25.08.2011 Status: Approved HQ File : 01/85/162/141/AM11 Grant of advance authorization under para 4.4.2 of HBP, Vol. I for export of Safflower Seed (Sortexed/Processed and meant for Bird Feed purpose/Safflower/Soya DeOiled Cake against import of Safflower Seeds/Relevant Safflower/Soya Seeds Fixation of adhoc norms under para 4.4.2 The case was considered by the committee as per agenda. The Firms Representative appeared before the committee and matter was discussed with technical members in detail . The committee observed that the import item has 64% yield only but there is value recovery on account oil from relevant safflowers / Soya seeds during the process of manufacture of safflowers/ Soya deoiled cake , hence the quantity should be reduced to the extent of value recovery.
