In pursuance of the Order of the Hon’ble High Court at Ahmedabad, dated 20.6.2012 (W.P. No.25176 of 2005) in the case of M/s Organo Metallies, Baroda, firm was invited for Personal Hearing to present their case before the Norms Committee-IV on 19.9.2012. The

PRO version firm was given opportunity to make presentation in support of their case. The firm was represented by Shri Bharat Sodha, Partner, M/s Organo Metallics. Shri Bharat Sodha presented case in detail but could not submit/produce documentary evidence or such chemical literature which could substantiate firm’s claim that input item ‘2 Ethyl Hexanoic Acid’ could be used in place of ‘Naphthenic Acid’ to manufacture Zinc Naphthenate 14% (Zinc content 14%). He was further granted another opportunity to make written submission with authentic documentary evidence, if any, for claiming alternative input item viz., ‘2 Ethyl Hexanoic Acid’.

The firm has submitted a written representation dated 24.9.2012 (received on 28.09.2012) which has been forwarded to Technical Authority (Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals) on 1.10.2012 for examination and comments.

Accordingly, the case may be re-listed on 26.10.2012.
