The Committee first considered minutes of the ALC Meeting No.47/11 for confirmation and confirmed and adopted the same without any change.

The Committee considered the case as per agenda . The case was refered to Policy Cell –IV for their comments/clarification as to whether ‘Refined Soyabean Oil’ which is one of the input item being used in the export products, is importable under para 4.4.2 of HBP. The comments received from Policy Cell – IV was discussed in this meeting and the Committee decided the following courses of action:-

i) To seek information from NC-VI on the comments offered by Policy Cell – IV; ii) To refer back to Policy Cell – IV to seek further clarification, on, if duty free import is allowed under SION, why not under adhoc norms?

However, the Committee took a decision for time being to allow norms as recommended by Technical Authority (Deptt. of Industrial Policy & Promotion), vide their letter dated 1.3.2011, except import item “Refined Soyabean Oil” at S.No.6 of import item, as under:-
