The Container Freight Station of M/s. Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) Limited located at Village -Khopta, Taluka- Uran, Dist.Raigad, Maharashtra was declared as a customs Area under Section 8 of the Customs Act, 1962 vide Notification No. 01/2006 dated 12.01.2006 and was appointed as Custodian vide Notification No. 02/2006 dated 12.01.2006. Further vide Notification No. 03/2010 dated 14.01.2010, 04/2015 dated 24.02.2015 and Public Notice no. 99/2020 dated 07.08.2020 M/s. Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) Limited in respect of its Notified area, has been appointed as Custodian and Customs Cargo Service Provider for the period up to 13.01.2025.

  1. Now, M/s. Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) Limited has been applied for name change of their company from M/s. Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) limited to M/s. Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) Private Limited. I hereby approve the proposal for the change of name of the CFS from M/s. Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) limited to M/s. Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) Private Limited.

  2. Now, in exercise of the powers conferred on me under Section 45(1) and 141 (2) of the Customs Act, 1962, I, Istikhar Baig, Commissioner of Customs, General, Mumbai Zone- II, Nhava Sheva hereby renew the appointment of M/s. Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) Private Limited to be the ‘Custodian’ of the Imported goods received at the Container Freight Station of Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) Pvt. Limited until these are cleared for home consumption or are warehoused or are transhipped in accordance with the provisions of Chapter VIII of the Customs Act, 1962 for the entire Customs Notified Area. Similarly, M/s. Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) Pvt. Limited will also be the ‘Custodian’ of the Export cargo brought into said Container Freight Station for examination and stuffing till their exportation through Jawaharlal Nehru Port. 4. Further, in exercise of the powers conferred on me under Regulation 10 of the “Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009”, I, Istikhar Baig, Commissioner of Customs, General, JNCH hereby renew the approval of M/s. Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) Private Limited as a

  • 0 timed oe S. Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) CFS Proved as “Customs Cargo Services Provider” for the said shall abide by all the provisions of the Customs Act, 1962 and the

  • rules under the “Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009” and other regulations, notifications, orders issued there under.

  • Gi) The duration of appointment of M/s. Continental Warehousing Corporation (Nhava Seva) Pvt. Limited as ‘Custodian’ and as the ‘Customs Cargo Service Provider’ shall remain valid for a period of ten (10) year from 14.01.2020 provided the validity of the AEO-LO status of the CFS extended. If the validity of AEO status granted to the CFS is withdrawn prior to the 29.01.2023 or is not extended beyond 29.01.2023 the validity shall be valid for a period of five (05) year from 14.01.2020 instead of ten (10) year.

    • (iii) |The waiver from execution of Bank Guarantee has been given in terms of regulation 5(3) of HCCAR, 2009 as the CFS has been accredited with AEOLO status with validity till 29.01.2023. If the validity of AEO status granted to the CFS is withdrawn prior to the 29.01.2023 or is not extended beyond 29.01.2023, the CFS shall execute bank guarantee for the amount, as determined, w.e.f. date of expiry of validity of AEO status.

    • (iv) The Commissioner of Customs (General), JNCH shall have the Right to review the approval as ‘Customs Cargo Services Provider’ before the completion of ten year for failure to comply with any of the Regulations of the “Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009 or as per the directions of the Government of India.
