1. M/s Container Corporation of India Ltd (a Public Sector Undertaking) were earlier appointed as a Custodiarn of Container Freight Station, Mulund (East) under Section 45 of the Customs Act 1962, Notification issued from File No. S/19-Misc.45/Docks dated 09.11.1995 and Notification issued from File No. S/26/-Misc-290/2001/CFS(M)) Part-1.
2. The said 1,05,100 Sq. Mtrs of land was declared as Customs area vide notification no 01/2010  CUS(G) issued from File No. S/ 23-Tech 105/2010 dated 15.03.2010, as a place for unloading of Imported goods and loading of export goods. 3. Thereon, CBEC appointed Mulund (Mumbai) as Inland Container Depot under Section 7 of The Customs Act, 1962 vide Notification No. 177/2009 CUSTOMS (N.T) dated 11.12.2009 by inserting the name Mulund (Mumbai) against serial number 9, relating to the State of Maharashtra in the principle Notification No. 12/97-Customs (N.T.) dated 02.04. 1997 (G.S.R. No. 193E dated 12.04.1997].
4. In pursuance of the Board Notification No. 177/2009 dated 11.12.2009 the total 1,05,100 Sq. Mtrs (96,000+9,100) of land was declared as Customs area vide Notification No. 01/2010 - CUS(G) issued from File No S/23-Tech-105/2010 dated 15.03.2010, as a place for unloading of Imported goods and loading of export goods. The boundaries of the said area were notified as below;

CONCOR was reappointed as the Custodian of Inland Container Depot, Mulund (East) Vide Notification No. 03/2010 CUS(G) issued from File No. S/26-Misc-07/2009 CFS (M)0) dated 17.03.2010.

No. S/6-B-Misc-224 /2010-11 ICD (M)(X) dated 13.03.2020, this office reappointed M/s Container Corporation of India Ltd. as the Custodian of ICD Mulund under Section 45(1) & Section 141(2) of CA, 1962 and approved the renewal of M/s Container Corporation of India Ltd. as Customs Cargo Service Provider under Regulation 13 of Regulations of Handling of cargo in Customs Area Regulations, 2009* for a periods of further 5 years.
