Public Notice No. 93/2021

The area admeasuring 56,631 SQM of Container Freight Station located at Village-Ashte, Taluka-Panvel, Distt. Raigad, Maharashtra of M/s Ashte Logistics Pvt. Ltd. was declared ‘Customs Area’ under section 8 of the Customs Act, 1962 vide Notification No. 13/2017 dated 08.11.2017 and M/s Ashte Logistics Pvt. Ltd. Was appointed as a ‘Custodian’ and ‘Customs Cargo Service Provider’ for the said CFS area vide notification no. 10&11/2019 dated 29.07.2019 which is valid till 22.05.2023. Further an additional area of 11,838 SQM was notified as a ‘Customs Area’ under section 8 of the Customs At, 1962 vide Public Notice No. 91/2021 dated
27.10.2021. Thus the total CFS area became 68,469 SQM.

Now, in exercise of the powers conferred on me under Section 45(1) and 141(2) of the Customs Act, 1962, I, Istikhar Baig, Commissioner of Customs, General, Mumbai Zone- II, Nhava Sheva hereby appoint M/s Ashte Logistics Pvt. Ltd. to be the Custodian of the imported goods received at their Container Freight Station admeasuring approx. 68,469 SQM until these are cleared for home consumption or are warehoused or are transhipped in accordance with the provisions of Chapter VIII of the Customs Act, 1962. Similarly, M/s Ashte Logistics Pvt. Ltd. will also be the ‘Custodian’ of the Export cargo brought into said Container Freight Station including the additional area, for examination and stuffing till their exportation through Jawaharlal Nehru Port.

Further, in exercise of the powers conferred on me under Regulation 10 of the “Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009”, I, Istikhar Baig, Commissioner of Customs, General, JNCH hereby approve M/s Ashte Logistics Pvt. Ltd. as a “Customs Cargo Services Provider” for the above mentioned Container Freight Station of M/s Ashte

Logistics Pvt. Ltd. including the additional area, subject to the following conditions; (i) The Custodian M/s Ashte Logistics Pvt. Ltd. approved as “Customs Cargo Services Provider” for the said CFS shall abide by all the provisions of the Customs Act, 1962 and the rules under the “Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009″ and other regulations, notifications, orders issued there under. (ii) The duration of appointment of M/s Ashte Logistics Pvt. Ltd. as ‘Custodian’ and as the ‘Customs Cargo Service Provider’ shall remain valid till the original validity of the CCSP notification i.e. 22.05.2023. (iii) The Commissioner of Customs (General), JNCH shall have the Right to review the approval as ‘Customs Cargo Services Provider’ before 22.05.2023 for failure to comply with any of the Regulations of the “Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009 or as per the directions of the Government of India.
