Sub: Withdrawal of Public Notices Nos. 24/2020 dated 20.02.2020 and 33/2020 dated 24.03.2020 regarding facility of waiver of late fee for delayed filing of the Bill of Entry-reg.

Attention of the importers, exporters, Customs Brokers and all other stakeholders is invited to Public Notice No. 24/2020 dated 20.02.2020 on ‘Facilitation of clearance of import containers due to delay in receiving of documents from China’ and Public Notice No. 33/2020 dated 24.03.2020 on ‘Facilitation of Clearance Of Import Cargo Due To Delay Arising Due to Outbreak Of Corona Virus’ related to general waiver of late fee for delayed filing of Bill of Entry. 2. Keeping in view the developments since then, the said general waiver are decided to be withdrawn as follows :

The general waiver of late filing charges will not be available with respect to

Bill of Entry for IGMs where entry inwardsdate is after 31.05.2020. In respect of

Bill of Entry filed for IGMs where entry inwards date is upto 31.05.2020, the

general waiver shall cease to be available to Bill of Entry filed after 08.06.2020. 3. Action to be taken in terms of decisions taken in this Public Notice should be considered as standing order for the purpose of officers and staff. 4. In case of any difficulty, the specific issue may be brought to the notice of DC/AC, Appraising Main (IMPORT) through email on appraisingmain.jnch@gov.in.
