Public Notice No. 90/2020

The area admeasuring 1,36,703 Sq. Mtrs. of Container Freight Station M/s. Ameya Logistic Pvt. Ltd. located at Container Freight Station, village- Dhasakoshi, Taluka-Uran, Dist.- Raigad, Maharashtra, Navi Mumbai-410 212 was declared as Customs Area under Section 8 of the Customs Act, 1962 vide Notification No. 12/2012 dated 30.10.2012 as amended from time to time and M/s. Ameya Logistic Pvt. Ltd. was appointed as a ‘Custodian’ and ‘Customs Cargo Service Provider’ vide notification No.13/2012 dated 30.10.2012 for a period of 5 years as declared initially vide Notification No. 04/2010. The appointment as ‘Custodian’ and ‘Customs Cargo Service Provider’ has been further extended by 5 years from 20.01.2015 vide notification no. 15/2014 dated 30.12.2014. 2. Now, in exercise of the powers conferred on me under Section 45(1) and 141 (2) of the Customs Act, 1962, I, Sanjay Mahendru, Commissioner of Customs, General, Mumbai Zone- II, Nhava Sheva hereby appoint M/s. Ameya Logistic Pvt. Ltd. to be the ‘Custodian’ of the Imported goods received at the Container Freight Station of M/s. Ameya Logistic Pvt. Ltd. until these are cleared for home consumption or are warehoused or are transhipped in accordance with the provisions of Chapter VIII of the Customs Act, 1962. Similarly, M/s. Ameya Logistic Pvt. Ltd. will also be the ‘Custodian’ of the Export cargo brought into said Container Freight Station for examination and stuffing till their exportation through Jawaharlal Nehru Port. 3. Further, in exercise of the powers conferred on me under Regulation 10 of the Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations 2009, I, Sanjay Mahendru, Commissioner of Customs, General, JNCH hereby renew the approval of M/s. Ameya Logistic Pvt. Ltd. as a ‘Customs Cargo

Services Provider’ for the above mentioned Container Freight Station subject to the following conditions; (i) The Custodian M/s. Ameya Logistic Pvt. Ltd. approved as Customs Cargo Services Provider for the said CFS shall abide by all the provisions of the Customs Act, 1962 and the rules under the “Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009″ and other regulations, notifications, orders issued there under. (ii) The duration of appointment of M/s. Ameya Logistic Pvt. Ltd. as ‘Custodian’ and as the ‘Customs Cargo Service Provider’ shall remain valid for a period of five (05) years from 20.01.2020. (iii) The waiver from execution of Bank Guarantee has been given in terms of regulation 5(3) of HCCAR, 2009 as the CFS has been accredited with AEO-LO status with validity till 30.09.2020 which has been extended vide P.N. No. 77/2020 dated 02.07.2020 issued by Commissioner of Customs, NS-III. If the validity of AEO status granted to the CFS is withdrawn prior to the 30.09.2020 or is not extended beyond 30.09.2020, the CFS shall execute bank guarantee for the amount, as determined, w.e.f. date of expiry of validity of AEO status. (iv) The Commissioner of Customs (General), JNCH shall have the Right to review the approval as ‘Customs Cargo Services Provider’ before the completion of five years for failure to comply with any of the Regulations of the “Handling of Cargo in Customs Areas Regulations, 2009 or as per the directions of the Government of India.
